More than 80 members of the local community attended the Community Safety Breakfast held at South Oakleigh Bowling Club on Saturday 28th October.
This was a partnership event with the City of Monash & Victoria Police. All present were provided with a complimentary egg & bacon roll or vegetarian alternative breakfast. Thanks to all members who managed the catering on the day.
David Whiting welcomed all present on behalf of President Lesley Zuccaro. He also acknowledged & thanked the South Oakleigh Bowling Club for making their community building, available the event.

Mayor Tina Samardzija made some opening remarks & Acknowledgment of Country
Sara Coe, Senior Constable, Monash Crime Prevention Officer, Victoria Police covered the
following issues in her presentation:
• home safety and security
• what you can do to prevent crime and theft or damage to your property
• how to make a police report
• how you can protect yourself and your loved ones from Scams
• how to recognise and report a suspected Scam to SCAMWATCH.
Greg Telly, Chair South Oakleigh Bowling Club thanked the speakers for their presentations.
Voluntary donations were made by the community, to support, South Eastern Suicide Prevention Network.
