The Technology Committee provides advice and assistance to the District Board and to all clubs about using information technology in ways that best support their operations and enhance the Rotary experience of members.

The current website was recommended to the District Board and developed by the committee after a thorough review of the alternatives. Now that the website is public, the committee and website administration team are continuing to build some of the other facilities offered by ClubRunner, including online bulletins and directories.

We also have some other aspects of technology for the benefit of the District that we would like to explore, including -

  • role-based email accounts that can be transferred automatically to new officers each year,
  • online storage and retrieval of important documents, with appropriate access security and backup,
  • online meetings and webinars,
  • an inventory of District IT assets.
Here is a document describing what we have already done and are planning to do: Current Status / Action Plan
We would welcome any Rotarians with the time, expertise and interest in the application of technology in assisting Rotary in any of these areas to join our team! Please email me if you are interested. District Technology Chair Peter Dalwood
