On the 17th of May, we held our annual Giant Monopoly Night. This night has become our biggest fundraiser of the year, and provides a very special opportunity for our friends, fellow Rotaractors and Rotarians, and family to come together.
This year we raised funds for Women for Women International, a non-for-profit that supports women and young girls impacted by war and conflict in a vast number of countries across the globe.
We are very proud to announce that through ticket sales, our raffle, our generous silent auction sponsors, and our ability to exchange Monopoly money for real money (or rather, bribe others), we raised $3500!
This night would not have been possible without the support of all Whitehorse Rotaractors, who put in a great deal of time to make this night as successful as it was.
This year, we also sold our highest number of tickets ever - only a few off the maximum capacity of 100 participants!! The room was full of friends, family, Rotarians, Rotaractors from clubs within and outside our District, past Rotaractors, and Rylarians! This highlights the impact that Rotaract and its associated programs can have on the people around us, and the long-lasting friendships it has created amongst myself and others. It was fantastic to see such a diverse range of people come together.
Thanks so much to all those who attended the night, as well as those who supported us otherwise!
