Our Club (Mannigham City), played host to the District final of the Primary School Speech Competition on Wednesday night and what a superb night it was with 14 contestants representing 6 Rotary Clubs fighting out the final.
Our District Governor Ian Ballantine, District Governor Elect for D9815 Colin Byron, Assistant Governor Olive Aumann, District Youth Service Chair Malcolm Chiverton, our new Manningham Mayor Cr Carli Lange, former Mayor Cr Deirdre Diamante and Cr Anna Chen all attending and to a person they were astounded at the quality of the presentations from the students.
A brilliant night and our thanks go to Manningham City members and event organisers Trevor Dawson and Brian Tyedin, Timekeepers Dan Hession and Rod Simkiss, Photographer Anthony Callinan and the judging team from Toastmasters International.
